Open wave ring – 9ct yellow gold plated

£220

Stunning open wave ring inspired by my walks on the beach around Dundee and Tayport, made in recycled silver then plated in 9ct yellow gold.

Only 1 left in stock (can be backordered)

This stunning piece is the Open Wave Ring which is from my newest collection of unisex rings. It has been carved out in wax and cast in recycled silver, then plated in yellow gold. The gold is 5 microns thick plating so it won’t just rub off easily, but it will need replated each year, due to wear and tear. It gives you the luxurious look of gold without paying the high-end price of solid gold. The shapes and textures are inspired by the silvery River Tay.

The ring is 6mm wide at the widest part and tappers to a thinner band 4mm at certain areas of the waves.

Ring in stock is O – O 1/2, it is a chunky ring so will feel tighter than your normal size if you are used to wearing thinner bands.

It can be worn as an everyday wear ring, wedding band or dress ring. Wear it to fit in to your style.

Inspired by the textures of the natural world, during my walks along the beaches of Dundee and Tayport, looking at the shapes in the waves of the River Tay. The ring shank has hand-pierced wave details which I have carved out to create open detail, then I have added hammered texture detail to make the ring sparkle and catch the light. However, if you are a fan of shiny polished with no texture, this piece can be finished highly polished. This ring can be ordered in recycled silver, solid 9ct and 18ct gold or platinum. The silver version can also be plated in rose gold and each ring can be made matt or polished finish. Silver rings can also be oxidised if you like a darker, gothic look.

Get in touch if you would like to order one in your size and specifications. I can also set stones into this ring, making it truly unique to you. I made a silver version with a stunning 5.5mm cornflower sapphire precious gemstone stone but it has already sold. Orders can take between 6-8 weeks, depending on the season.

All Genna Delaney jewellery comes in luxury eco friendly branded box and gift bag, so no need for wrapping if you are giving this piece as a gift.
