So it was a few weeks ago now that I got the opportunity to meet Judy Murray, the successful tennis coach, (not just Andy Murray’s mum!)

When the opportunity arose for me to attend the ASB (Association for Scottish Businesswomen) conference, in Perth and present Judy Murray with a pair of earrings I had to just go for it as this was an amazing opportunity for me to raise my profile.

The earrings are from a new silver collection which I haven’t put on sale on the website yet. I made a special version of the silver earrings, just for Judy. This new collection which I have named Fan (As I made a little set for Judy and I am a fan of her, I know cheese!), after researching the type of jewellery she usually wears.

This collection is inspired by a walk I had with my friend Jennifer Robson in Ladybank Forest. I was attracted to a tree trunk that was cut in an irregular way. The edges and layers of the cutting were different heights and textures which inspired me to make this new collection. I have created three different sizes and these earrings are from the smallest of the shapes. I saw Judy wore the same necklaces which had sentimental value, so I decided to gift her a pair of studs as having short hair she really suits small earrings.

When I went to the conference I thought the organisers of the ASB conference were going to present the earrings with her gift of flowers. However, I was invited on stage in front of everyone, where I presented the earrings to Judy Murray, herself.

It was a really exciting moment. She really is an Unstoppable Women. It was really inspiring hearing her story of how she has faught in a male dominated sport to get to being Scotland’s Tennis Coach. Judy is an ambassador for promoting tennis in Scotland and has various clubs to encourage females getting into tennis.
