Dundee Fashion Week
Fun A Day Exhibition – We are happy to announce the new dates for Fun A Day Dundee 2018! The exhibition opens at 7pm on Friday 13th April with live music from Ed Muirhead; a participant and musician, and runs over the weekend from 10am – 7pm Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th. We will also have our usual sweetie pick n mix!
I’m super excited to be part of Dundee’s first ever Fashion Week which takes place between 7th May – 12th May.
Dundee Fashion Week is a community initiative to celebrate everything that we believe influences the world of fashion. While Dundee Fashion Week is up there with a professional fashion gig, it is also very much an alternative fashion week – think Fringe rather than Festival! Dundee Fashion Week is for everyone, so there will be no size-zero debate here!
There are many events taking place during the week starting with the style awards and launch party on Monday 7th May btw 6-9pm. Other events during the week include Millars presents Meet the Brands , Overgate presents Style Studio , The Greatest Swish Ever! , Iconic Dundee: Halley Stevensons Presents Home & Dry , Iconic Dundee: Fashion Anyone? and the film Iconic Dundee: Style in the City

However the events that I am taking part in are:
- Iconic Dundee: Genna Delaney & Concept present The Future of Fashion – 3D Printing workshop, The Overgate Shopping Centre, Dundee, Saturday 12th May 10-4.30pm
I am offering a unique opportunity to create your own 3-D designed piece using my Cloud 9, Anarkik 3D software. This exhibition will take you on a creative journey, while Concept Group Ltd will have their Makerbot 3-D printers on hand to produce the final pieces and demystify 3-D printing.
As this is an interactive exhibition, 4 sessions will run throughout the day: 10am; 12 midday; 2pm; 3.30pm. The Event is hosted by the Overgate and will be located on the lower level. This is an open event, no registration required.
Myself and Concept Group Ltd in partnership with Developing the Young Workforce Dundee are also running a competition for young people in Tayside for the 5 best accessory designs. Winning designs will be showcased in the Finale show courtesy of event sponsors Concept Group Ltd.
