If you haven’t heard, Dundee is hosting it’s own Dundee Fashion Week between 7th-13th May. It’s about time Dundee had it’s own Fashion Week as there are lots of extremely talented fashion designers in Dundee.

So I’m super excited to be part of it. There is a whole host of events to take part in throughout the week. You can see more details about these on the Dundee Fashion Week website.

But the two events that I’d like to point you to are:

Iconic Dundee – The future of Fashion

Fashion is always moving with the times and designers are using new ways of producing catwalk pieces.  Stella McCartney and Iris Van Herpen are among the growing contingent using 3-D printing to create fashion. Smaller independent designers like myself are also incorporating technology to create wearable pieces.

Would you like to find out more about 3D printing and how it works? I’m teaming up with Concept Group Ltd, on Saturday 12th May at the Overgate shopping centre, Dundee. We are hosting workshops and demonstrations throughout the day between 10-4.30pm. The timings are 10am; 12 midday; 2pm; 3.30pm. I will take you on a journey by showing you how to design your own 3D printed piece and Concept Group Ltd will take you through and demystify the 3-D printing process with their Makerbot 3-D printers  demonstrating how a 3D printed piece is made.

Dundee Fashion Week Finale

The fashion week will end with the waw factor in a climatic catwalk finale. Dundee Fashion Week presents Tayside’s finest independent designers and boutiques. The Dundee Fashion Week Finale celebrates independent and small businesses, as well as emerging designers from Duncan and Jordanstone College of Art and Design and Dundee and Angus College. I will showcase my 3d printed collection in the catwalk finale on 13th May at the Caird Hall, Dundee from 5pm-6.30pm.

Tickets will be on sale soon for this event. Head to the event page to purchase your tickets. Malmaison will be providing cocktails to get you into the party mood.

I’m looking for real women to model my collection on the catwalk. What I mean by real women is no matter how old, or how big or small, everyone is beautiful. So get in touch if you’d like to get involved.
